Dr. Tim Huang, DSW, LCSW-S
Dr. Tim Huang is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Board-Approved Supervisor with a doctorate degree in Social Work from Tulane University. As a bilingual (English/Chinese Mandarin) and trauma-informed therapist, Dr. Huang strives to create a safe and welcoming space for clients to share their unique lived experiences, explore new insights, and learn positive coping skills to maximize psychosocial functioning. He specializes in working with individuals who experience anxiety and depression, challenges in stress management, professional burnout, cross-cultural adaptation, grief and loss, self-growth, life transitions, and chronic illness. In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Huang offers clinical supervision and professional consultation services for mental health professionals seeking to further their knowledge and skills in the field.
Dr. Huang is also a strong community advocate for the geriatric LGBTQ population. He currently serves as a board member-at-large for the LGBT Council on Aging, a nonprofit organization that helps in advancing the standards of care for LGBTQ seniors through advocacy, training, and setting metrics. Dr. Huang places a high value on self-care and strives for a healthy work-life balance. Outside of his professional practice and involvement, he love traveling and hanging out with his fur babies.
